  This project entailed taking a primary role within the marketing and communications department. I constructed numerous advertisements including posters, mail-shots and maintaining a number of social media pages. These tasks were all connected within a community Archaeology initiative, enthusing the general public into Archaeology, as well as being involved in an excavation week from the 12th – 20th July. Throughout the excavation, I captured the weeks developments via video diaries, and time lapse footage via GoPro cameras. These were then edited in Final Cut to be uploaded onto social media websites in addition to the on site exhibition. Other duties included observing LIDAR data, intern deciphering archaeological features and updating previous records about sites within West Sussex. The position entailed an in-depth knowledge of archaeological techniques, in addition to mastering a number of software packages such as ESRI’s ArcGIS. Personal skills were also employed including time management, communication together with an enthusiasm for the subject. Show less
