During my thesis, I developed a new hybrid approach on regulatory networks. Starting from scientific data, this approach identifies a piecewise linear behavior over time from analysed biological system components. A formal method (the Hoare logic) adapted to biological system components allowed to build a constraint system which has been solved using the constraint solver called AbSolute. When a dataset that satisfies the constraints is identified, a piecewise linear behavior over time is graphically represented and compared with experimental data. This pipeline has been gathered in a software called Holmes BioNet. Location: I3S lab (Bioinfo Formelle - Sophia Antipolis) and iBV lab (Circadian Systems Biology - Valrose, Nice) Supervisors: J.-P Comet (I3S) & Franck Delaunay (iBV) Teachings (Practical works - 180 hours): Python (object-oriented programming), Database (MySQL), HTML/CSS Skills: OCaml, Formal method, Constraint solver, Modelling biological systems Show less
