  I was promoted to the role of Production Planner primarily looking after just the moulding department but this was later extended to include the Vacuum forming department. The role involves planning and scheduling tools and materials for in excess of 5000 different products in a highly customised industry with very tight leadtimes and no room for error.Responsibilities Include- Responsible for planning fast moving and tight deadline projects through a busy Injection Moulding and Vacuum forming Department.High level of technical knowledge of machine capabilities dealing with manufacturers like, Sandretto, Boy, Neggri Boss etc. to ensure the right product was scheduled on the right machines.Releasing all Works Orders on the ERP System (Avante & amp; E9) via MRP functionality. This led to me acquiring a comprehensive knowledge of ERP and MRP.Responsible for creating all new Injection Moulded parts on the ERP system included the BoM construction. Responsible for maintaining Standard Costs ensuring they are accurate against the manufacturing operations and material value.Responsible for producing accurate Shop Floor Documentation and dealing directly with staff at all levels to ensure the products are made on time.Responsible for producing Excel charts showing KPI's such as schedule adherence and Internal Part supply,Progress Chasing parts through production and responsible for re-scheduling parts where parts have not been made due to breakdowns, stoppages etc.Comprehensive knowledge of Barco system (shop floor monitoring) for Planning and SchedulingVery familiar with Lean principles such as Kanban and waste eliminationPart of the Mouldshop and Vacform improvement teams looking at Kaizen activities like SMED and layout changes.Responsible for dealing directly with multi-national Customers via phone and e-mail for releasing new orders or updating on existing orders.
