I conducted research in the Atmospheric Imaging group with Dr. Michael Taylor in the field of aeronomy. I studied atmospheric gravity (buoyancy) waves and temperature variability in the mesosphere using optical instruments and SABER satellite measurements from the Andes Lidar Observatory in Chile and several stations in Antarctica. As part of my research I have traveled to Argentina, New Zealand, as well as McMurdo and South Pole Stations in Antarctica. I have compiled and analyzed data using standard error analysis using IDL programming. I have attend several conferences and presented my results with oral and poster presentations. Show less

I analyzed all-sky IR images identifying and classifying gravity waves, computing speed and other characteristics of the wave packets and observing patterns. The research was part of a study of mesospheric dynamics over the Antarctic Peninsula.
