At my current job, I have been setting up a new build pipeline that consist of Bitbucket (git repository on the server), Jenkins (job scheduler) and Artifactory (binary control system). I have also helped the other developers with using internal developed tools more efficient. I also stabilise the old build system. In my first job I worked intensively with computational tools and related tools. The work was : Creating automatic regression testing for Fasset and FarmAC (computational tools used in agricultural research for whole farm simulation and animal modeling) Optimizing Fasset’s code so it executed approximately 60% faster Removing memory leaks from Fasset (from about 2 gb to a few kb) Implementing various computational tools such as Ctool and rewriting others such as FarmN (computational tools used in agricultural research for carbon sequestration and Nitrogen leaching) Implement new features (such as plant’s growth was depended on the amount of sun-light) Debug the computational tools when the tools did not give the expected result Create an Android application for our field technicien to collect field data Languages used to implement the models ranged from C++ (where we needed the extra speed), C# (where we needed model to interact with the web), xamarin (for Adnroied development) over to Matlab (where we needed access to statistic method for optimization).
