Planned and coordinated elements of Their Royal Highnesses the Crown Prince couple’s official visit to Japan in October 2017. My tasks included correspondence with official and private authorities in Japan and Denmark - such as the Danish Royal Household and the Imperial Household Agency - drafting speeches for HRH the Crown Prince and the Minister of Foreign Affairs, Anders Samuelsen, and coordinating transport for the accompanying Danish press. I translated Japanese crime novels into danish with Mette Holm as my co-translator, editor and mentor. In 2015-2016 we worked on the danish version of 'The Devotion of Suspect X' by Keigo Higashino, which received positive critical acclaim: 5 out of 6 stars in Berlingske (https://goo.gl/Wgfv5P) 5 out of 6 stars in Jyllandsposten (https://goo.gl/TWL4Su) In 2016-2017 we worked on the danish version of 'The salvation of a Saint', also by Keigo Higashino, which is a follow-up to 'The Devotion of Suspect X'. Mette Holm, translator of Japanese authors such as Haruki Murakami, acted as my co-translator, editor and mentor, and she taught me how to write fluent and natural danish, while still keeping true to the essence and rhytm of the Japanese language - something I thought impossible, but which she has proven to be achievable time and time again. I helped in translating and formulating correspondences between Japanese Manga artists and the Danish publication Comic Party. It taught me a lot about proper written form of Japanese correspondences, and was a good experience with written translation to/from Japanese and English/Danish I helped in translating and formulating correspondences between Japanese Manga artists and the Danish publication Comic Party.
