  •Process operator for all board and field operation using Foxboro DCS to operate and troubleshoot distillation column, cryogenic phosgene recovery unit, HCL acid plant and area utilities •Operate the distillation column, which distills different products under pressure or vacuum with a dedicated vacuum pump, transferring finished product to storage, performing product swaps and troubleshoot issues •Operate and maintain area utilities including the acid chloride waste tank, waste hydrolysis reactor, single stage steam vacuum jet and troubleshoot issues •Operating cryogenic phosgene recovery unit to recover unused phosgene from incoming process vents & feeding the recovered phosgene into the phosgene header to go back into process reactors, routine safety checks of the ammonia refrigeration skid and troubleshoot issues •Operate HCL acid plant to absorb/convert incoming process vents into HCL at a strength of 32% into a receiver, sample receiver for strength/color/VOC/TOC to determine finished product storage destination (in spec or off spec storage), transfer to correct storage and troubleshoot issues •Operate emergency caustic scrubber (backup scrubber for when thermal oxidizer is down), including daily sampling to check caustic strength and carbonate buildup, draining & refilling when levels are beyond required parameters and troubleshoot issues •Operate area cooling tower, including performing chemical sampling to check and adjust pH and conductivity and troubleshoot issues •Responsible for clearing, cleaning and isolating all of my units/utilities, including LOTO, for maintenance •Member of the emergency response team for external fire suppression and hazmat response •Issue permits for maintenance and contract work •Routine rounds, readings and safety checks throughout my units •Responsible for clearing, washing, isolating and lockout tagout of all storage vessels in my area •Track inventory of crude products, finished products and HCL with Chempax software Show less
