Training and tweaking neural network models for computer vision. Surveying and implementing the latest in machine learning research and practices for commercial use. Projects: - OCR Model training for use in insurance documents - Developed a model for detection of rotated text in Japanese and English - Developing OCR postprocessing (similar to autocorrect functionality) for a client, improving accuracy from ~75% to >99%. Implemented custom metrics according to client needs. - Developed inference and deployment pipelines using Triton Inference Server. Load tested using locust to see if business needs were successfully met. - Developed MLOps pipelines with Kubeflow. Implementation of YOLOv7 training into Kubeflow Pipelines. - Shared responsibility for the development of an object tracking application based on drone footage and flight records for a construction company. Responsibilities included experiment management, development tasks, feedback, requests and communication with the client (in Japanese). - Design and development of a data registry using MongoDB and PyMongo.
