      As a Locomotive engineer I am responsible for the operation of 1923 and 1925 steam locomotives. Understanding them from a mechanical stand point as well as an operational stand point. It is my job to ensure the safe operation of the engine throughout the day and identifying and solving any issues that may arise.During the winter months my focus turns to locomotive maintenance. I machine parts in our 1989 machine shop and work closely with the Roundhouse Foreman and CMO to ensure the proper work is completed on each locomotive.
