Generalist game programmer
-
Jan 2015 - Mar 2016
For the last months I've been developing games on my own, like the one on the video linked below. Mostly a sabbatical, but taken as an opportunity to learn as much as possible, programming every single part of games from scratch.

Bilbao, Spain Worked on lots of different parts of the product, from the C++ core to backend services. Short list of what I did there: I worked on performance optimization across the board: GPU rendering, C++ code, JS code, memory access patterns... Also did lots of old code cleanups and refactoring. Worked on several HTML5 games and demos, generally showcasing 3D graphics with WebGL. Short list of what I did there: I worked on performance optimization across the board: GPU rendering, C++ code, JS code, memory access patterns... Also did lots of old code cleanups and refactoring. Worked on several HTML5 games and demos, generally showcasing 3D graphics with WebGL. I created a cloud-based system that takes an HTML5 project and wraps it with CocoonJS to produce native apps for iOS and Android. I created a system that monitors several compiling machines, distributes work among them and provides an Amazon S3-based system to update every part of the compilation stack automatically Implemented a time-profiling mechanism so users can analyze performance of their projects inside CocoonJS Worked on both the HTML5 Audio and WebGL implementations inside CocoonJS Languages generally used during my stay at Ludei: C++, Go, Python, JS, Dart. Also, less frequently: Java, Objective-C Show less

Plugins Developer
-
Nov 2009 - Dec 2011
Remotely Worked as the sole plugins developer for the company. Did plugins for: 3dsMax, Maya, Modo, Rhino3D, Lightwave, Softimage XSI, Google Sketchup and Cinema4D. Some of those (like the 3dsMax one) mainly required maintenance when a new version of the program was released, while others (like Sketchup) I created entirely from scratch. Languages used for that work: C/C++, Python, Ruby, JS

Madrid Area, Spain I was an intern for 6 months while I developed my masters' thesis. I worked on a system to visualize a voronoi-based forest growth simulation with OpenGL. During that time I worked on a technique to calculate Delaunay triangulations using the GPU, and I presented a paper about that at the 2009 Encuentro de Geometría Computacional ("Computational Geometry Encounter") in Zaragoza, Spain.
