Managing Vice President
-
Jan 2012 - Present
As the managing vice president at Christopher B. Burke Engineering, LLC, I get to work closely with a great many people from varied organizations and backgrounds. It is energizing to be part of the many projects that benefit our clients and the public we serve. It is also a great privilege to work with our firm's project managers and staff on the development, design and review of our engineering and planning projects. Another perk of the job is managing the firm’s external outreach, including public presentations for projects, and civic outreach and service to the communities in which we work. Building relationships is very important in our business, and we firmly believe one of the best ways to do that is to participate in our clients’ communities. Although I consider myself a foodie trying to find new restaurants along with the worlds best coffee, I do take time to review construction plans and technical data for engineering accuracy and completeness, as well as manage, prepare, and review engineering reports, technical appraisals and contracts. Keeping up with the most recent trends in our industry allows me to work with each client, seeking new and creative ways to meet their particular goals. Show less
