The Planning Technician is responsible for performance of field inspections and the creation of technical documentation of school technology construction projects and to ensure that contractors are providing the required product as contractually obligated. Additional duties include the performance of surveys of existing network infrastructure design and of deployed technologies. The Planning Technician is also responsible for providing current status updates to Supervisor along with effective communication amongst team members. Stakeholder communications is a large portion of the successful completion of this role.

A C4ISR Engineer Technician, safely assists a System of Systems integration to trace MRAP situational awareness and network interoperability requirements to proposed component, subsystem, and system levels for the full range of system operational environments onto MRAP variants, in accordance with government-furnished instructions. I support the installation, integration, and operational validation of key network systems on associated C4ISR configurations on MRAP's. I ensured that quality hardware integration enabled MRAP modernization with Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) technologies, to provide MRAP with real-time GPS and situational awareness via Force XX1 Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2), Blue Force Tracker 2 Satellite Communications (SATCOM), and Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P). I ensure that performed work met Quality standards and be subject to continuous in-process and final Quality Assurance (QA)/Quality Control (QC) to ensure a 360 degree situational awareness of the MRAP in dark/low visibility, shall perform requirements verification, and provide engineering support for validation and acceptance of MRAP Situational awareness, Network Integration and interoperability capability tests and support technical readiness interoperability exercise to demonstrate network modernization and situational awareness improvements to the MRAP program

Signal Support Systems Specialist

Served as a communications manager for a Brigade Support Battalion and oversaw integration/Quality Technician systems integration and worked directly with SPAWAR personnel in Germany, and Iraq. Supported the installations of vehicular intercom systems AN/VIS 3, integration, and operational validations of the Warfighter Information Network-Tactical (WIN-T) Increment 2 network systems and associated C4I configurations on a Mine-Resistant Ambush Protected All-Terrain Vehicle (M-ATV) and responsible for equipment totaling $1.1M. Oversaw the integration network modernization with Joint Tactical Radio System (JTRS) technologies, enabling the organization to communicate in real-time Global Positioning Satellite (GPS) and situational awareness via Force XX1 Battle Command Brigade and Below (FBCB2), Blue Force Tracker 2, Movement Tracking System (MTS), Satellite Communications (SATCOM) Network, and Joint Battle Command – Platform (JBC-P). Worked alongside field support technicians to establish radio communications through Combat Net Radio gateway (CNR) via line of sight capability. WIN-T Increment 2 allows for on-the-move network capability or at-the-halt military or commercial satellite connectivity which provides constant communication between organizations and subordinate units

Assigned to Echo Company 1-15 Engineers during OIFV as the Signal support specialist for the company. As the Communications NCO in a Mechanized Infantry Battalion capable of rapid deployment to any location; responsible for the planning, coordination, and execution of all C4I requirements for the Company; assists in the supervision and training of Platoon Radio Communicators; assists in the development, scheduling, coordination and evaluation of all communications training at company level; supervises the installation, operation, and maintenance of all communications equipment; monitors the status of all communications equipment; monitors the status of all communications equipment in support maintenance and maintains TAMMS records.
