Not always scripted in the itinerary they might go off piste and visit the likes of a geothermal power plant, strawberry farmer or even the local Ice cream shop and then you will know why Icelanders queue outside in -5 degrees Celsius during winter to get their Ice cream. Farmer’s that makes wool sweaters or let you taste Icelandic pancakes or visit a geothermal tomato farm and have, go figure, tomato soup where the tomatoes are grown – and this is just to name a few!.
