  Started working straight from University as an engineer at The Advanced Composites Group Ltd in 1984. After a brief 2 year spell in Bristol (1986-87) rejoined ACG in Jan '88 as Sales Manager for the Composite Material business. Undertook several roles as the company grew organically before VC backing in 1999. Became Group Operations Director and assisted the MD to facilitate and exit for the VC's by selling the business to Umeco plc in 2004. Became MD of ACG in 2006 and then became a divisional MD of Umeco plc in 2008. Led several acquisitions across three continents and successfully integrated them into the organisation. In 2012 the business was acquired by Cytec and I helped a smooth integration of the £250m organisation into the parent company. I left after this phase was completed.
