Jon is a founding member, CFO and Financial and Operations Principal of Tourmaline Partners, LLC. Prior to founding Tourmaline, Jon was the Financial and Operations Principal for Greenwich Prime Trading Group, LLC. Prior to joining Greenwich Prime, Jon spent over eight years as the Chief Operating Officer and Chief Financial Officer of Williams Trading, LLC. Jon was the sole Financial and Operations Principal at Williams and was responsible for all financial, regulatory and compliance related issues. Jon was also in charge of the build out and registration of two foreign subsidiaries located in the United Kingdom and Canada as well as a U.S. based branch office. Jon also is a former equity holder in MALPAT Capital, LLC, a registered broker-dealer with a primary focus on private placements. Jon was responsible for MALPAT’s initial FINRA registration and handled all on-going financial and regulatory tasks. Prior to joining Williams, Jon was the Chief Financial Officer of Red Coat Capital Management, L.L.C., a long/short equity hedge fund from March 2000 through December 2001. Prior to joining Red Coat in March 2000, Jon was the Controller with Morgens, Waterfall, Vintiadis & Co., Inc., an institutional equity asset manager focusing on distressed debt securities. Jon also worked at Goldstein Golub Kessler & Company as a Manager in the financial services sector where he specialized in the audit and tax engagements of hedge funds. Jon, a Certified Public Accountant, earned his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting and Business Administration from the State University of New York at Albany in May 1991.
