I started my career in Corporate Marketing. Working within the shopper marketing function the main focus was to bring the ATL campaigns alive in-store. I then moved into a trade marketing role within Impulse Grocery. Key responsibilities were private label product development, managing branded NPD launches, leading out seasonal eventing and building category strategies alongside the buying team. Between 2005 and 2010 I carried out various buying roles across grocery and fresh food (soft drinks, regional fresh & ambient produce and fresh meat). Buying responsibilities included P&L ownership, category management and supplier development. Buying fresh meat gave me a great insight into fresh food manufacturing, the importance of working closely with the supply base and having a deep customer understanding. Show less
