  Lapu-Lapu Educational Assistance Program is a college scholarship program for poor but deserving youth from Negros Oriental. Each scholar receives free tuition and miscellaneous fees, a monthly stipend of Php 2, 500.00 to cover board and lodging, and other expenses, and the free use of the Battalion’s facilities for research. Each scholar is also guided and assisted by an academic coach and counselor. Academic progress is monitored through the mandatory periodic submission of grades. Funds is primarily sourced from the voluntary monthly contributions from members of 11th Infantry Battalion, and other generous individuals. Started in 2010, the first to third have already graduated. Each beneficiary is obligated to support one scholar of their own choice, to graduate from the program. Show less
