Joel's ability to wrap his mind around a problem and come out the other side with a very logical and viable solution are simply part of what makes me hope to have the opportunity to work with him in the future. Joel's skill sets seem to have no limitations and his ethical obligation to 'make it do what it's suppose to do' is refreshing to see in developers and engineers. I've learned a lot from Joel and hope to keep doing so in the future.

I was Joel’s TA at UNK during his first classes at the University. His programming abilities were evident at the very beginning with Joel producing very efficient and innovative code. His abilities over the next semesters made Joel my choice of people to partner with when I wanted to start a business. Since then, Joel has been completely responsible for the software development at SMB Technology Consulting. He has taken vague ideas and turned them into viable applications. In the short time we have been doing business he has created five custom websites including three custom Wordpress Deployments; a custom Wordpress site for http://www.smbtc.us (our company); a custom Wordpress site for www.blumsframes for a picture framing business and a static HTML site for www.toddwilsonpc.com for an attorney. Additionally he has developed a secure static HTML Google Apps for Business training site for Google Apps Deployments. His latest accomplishment has been to redesign and overhaul our website creating a new custom dynamic website at mapp.smbtc.us to replace and enhance www.smbtc.us using HTML5, CSS, Javascript, XML, and PHP. Joel is currently the lead developer on 5 Android applications and developed our Android application available on Google Play. He has been able to adapt to new technologies and learns new languages and platforms very fast. I have no problems recommending Joel’s abilities as a developer as I have seen the results of his work earn this company a very good reputation and recommendations from our clients.
