Dekmantel operates at the forefront of electronic music, organising festivals in the Netherlands and Croatia (Dekmantel Festival, Lente Kabinet and Dekmantel Selectors), running a music label, hosting owned media platforms, developing merchandise capsules and always aiming to embark on new projects that spark its interest. The love and passion for music and art runs deep within the team and Dekmantel wants to connect with everyone that shares their mindset. Dekmantel's mission is to elevate underground music to the main stage, to stimulate respectful and open exchanges of ideas, and to support each other. Heading the brand department at Dekmantel, I aim to devise forward-thinking and creative communication strategies as a means to connect with the communities that Dekmantel is part of, and tie all aspects of the business together in order to create a strong and cohesive brand. From drawing up all marketing & communication related budgets to supervising content creation; from setting up new partnerships to creating and implementing initiatives in the area of corporate social responsibility. Sonsbeek is a ground-breaking and pioneering exhibition regarding art in public space. As one of the first international art projects after Venice Biennale (1895), Whitney Biennial (1932), and preceding documenta (1955), sonsbeek 20→24 aims to follow the legacy of its iconic prior editions that took place between 1949 and 2016. The 12th edition of sonsbeek takes place under the auspices of artistic director Bonaventure Soh Bejeng Ndikung and his team of co-curators: Antonia Alampi, Amal Alhaag, Zippora Elders and Aude Mgba and looks into the ways the history of labour and the working class reflects and is framed by issues such as race, gender, class structure, geographical distance, and politics.
