Christopher Hancock
Elise is an exceptional educator. Her acumen in working with diverse students and their families, especially those with special needs or experiencing mental health challenges, is surpassed only by her compassion and integrity. She is highly communicative, meets deadlines, and thoroughly documents her work. Working with her in a residential setting, she was quick to respond to immediate student concerns and collaborate with all stakeholders in problem-solving for effective solutions. Elise is a team player and an asset to any institution lucky enough to have her.
Heather Servaty-Seib (she/her)
Elise took a graduate level group course from me while she was enrolled in the school counseling master's program at Purdue. The course included a service-learning project through which students served as facilitators for a psychoeducational support program for grieving families. Elise co-facilitated the teenage group and did an excellent job. She is flexible, adaptive and was able to maintain a solid focus on what the teenagers needed throughout the program. Elise is comfortable with ambiguity and gained solid and important experience with staying with the pain of those who are grieving while also allowing time for personal connections and humor.
