Duties and responsibilities. Reporting to the Country Manager. Managing and developing sea freight business and operations within UAE. Responsible for handling IMCO and Dry cargo shipments, project shipments, Break bulk, heavy lifts, charter shipments, TUG and Barge combination with the shipment survey and technical evaluations, handling/Lifting, transportation, berth booking, dock handling, equipment hire, port operations, marine operations, stevedore operations, on board fastening, lashing and securing, documentation and all related works. Negotiate with vessel operators, charter parties, suppliers and vendors to ensure the trade terms are suits to the supply chain teams/Clients targets and to ensure best freight rates are obtained. Estimation of operational tariff charges, equipment hire charges, manpower hire charges, etc and ensure the process flow within the estimated charges. Monitor the performance of Operation and sales teams to ensure KPIs and SOPs are maintained. Plan, schedule and execute the shipments as per Supply chain teams/clients desired dates and estimate. Monitor the shipment movement to ensure prompt transhipment connections are set precautionary options for the multimodal shipments for CIS destinations to ensure prompt delivery at final point. Ensure the quality and safety standards are met as per HSSE directions. Liaise with Port and suppliers and warehouse operators to eliminate extra charges /storage/demurrage or detention. Prepare operational budget, sales target, monthly production report and update management. Ensure Revenue / GP targets are met, propose and apply strategic changes as per the market trend. Show less
