Personnel Specialist providing HR support to Sailors assigned to Marine Corps Air Station, Yuma, AZ.Submarines came next with my first "boat" being USS FRANCIS SCOTT KEY (SSBN 657)(GOLD) - 4 patrols.Second submarine was USS CASIMIR PULASKI (SSBN 633)(GOLD) - 7 patrols.Served four years recruiting duty in my hometown of Pittsburgh.Was commissioned through the Limited Duty Officer (LDO) Program in February 1990 as an Admin LDO and served on board USS HOLLAND (AS 32), Submarine Squadron 16, Squadron 17, Submarine Group 10, and Commander U. S. Submarine Force staff.Served as Administrative Department head on board the USS NIMITZ (CVN 68) for two years which included a homeport change from Norfolk to San Diego.I retired after 31 years and my last tour was Commander U. S. Fleet Forces Command as Deputy Personnel Readiness.
