I had the privilege of working with John when I started work with Pitt County EMS. From the first day, John presented himself as a very educated, well studied paramedic. He was someone as a younger provider, that I looked towards for leadership and guidance. As John rose through the leadership ranks in the organization, he always took time to answer any questions that his subordinates had, and provide leadership and motivation at any time. During the time that John was the Paramedic Supervisor, he was always fair and consistent with everything that he did in his administrative and leadership responsibilities. John has also always been one to provide career and leadership advice even after he left the department. I have been able to contact John and ask him for his suggestions and advise on career progression. He has also been always been willing and able to write a letter of recommendation when asked. Looking at where John has progressed to as the Chief Officer of Edgecombe County Rescue Squad I believe that he has moved into another position that will be benefit from his vast knowledge and leadership skills. Any department that is looking for a leader that is not only calm under pressure, but also very diplomatic and consistent, would be wise to look towards John Britt to fill any position.

I've known John for about 20 years. John is the consummate professional, detailed-oriented but also very personable. He brings an intelligence and commitment to any task, a trait that sets him apart from other employees.

I have known John since the late-90's when we worked EMS together. John has always been a diligent, driven individual, targeted on success and progress but maintaining a certain down-to-earth civility that gives him an uncanny ability to make and maintain long-term partnerships with anyone he meets. He has an eye for detail and a passion for delivering only the best possible product. His dedication and reputation of loyalty and compassion always precede him.
