  As the Software Q/A Manager, I designed and implemented software Q/A standards and practices for Printronix, Inc., an Orange County computer printer manufacturer. I have set up a software development tracking system to allow the Q/A group to audit the software development and design verification testing processes. I have designed and supervise the implementation of a software metrics system to assure software quality during the early parts of the development cycle. I was also the system manager of a 20 workstation UNIX network bridged to a Novell LAN (which I also managed) via NFS which is used as the primary software development platform at this company.   I worked in three capacities for Intercon. I was contracted to Hughes Aircraft as a hardware test system programmer where I created a test facility to verify frequency controls for a spread spectrum communications system as well as writing code to automate a hardware test stand. I also contracted for and performed a software QA assessment for the initial programmable printer controller development team at Printronix. Between these assignments, I ported a database from a DEC PDP 11/34 to an IBM PC for Intercon. Show less

I worked as a small computer systems application and educational consultant at Techspan and at Technology Services Corp. in Seattle, Washington (after their buy-out of Techspan). I performed all phases of needs assessment appraisals, systems design, and system documentation. Additionally, I performed internal systems analysis work for client companies and assisted with the development of educational programs.
