I worked with John closely during his time with HLB Mann Judd as our General Manager. Throughout the 4.5 years with us he assisted with the delivery of many firm level strategic projects. John's role required an understanding of business process and IT, and he used his skills in these areas to assist with our change projects. He assisted us with aspects of our move to cloud based applications in the firm. His role extended to assistance with the financial management of the firm and he was required to report to our executive committee/board on a monthly basis across finance and project based matters. John has broad generalist knowledge across many matters in professional service firms. He always acted with the business's best interests in mind. Importantly he asks the question "why?" to properly understand a scenario and all the aspects relevant to a decision before making a recommendation. His understanding of people, culture and operations places him well to assist any professional services firm going forward. John is active reader of many current and emerging topics relevant for boards and directors and is an active member of the AICD.

I was introduced to John, who was General Manager of HLB Mann Judd Melbourne, with the view of updating HLB’s document processing and trialing document automation. John was able to effectively implement the change including engagement within the firm with 15 partners and over 100 staff. The process was seamless, efficient and extremely successful. 2 years on, the implementation continues to be a success due to John’s continued efforts and collaboration with myself.
