  I've been a volunteer for the Association of Professional Piercers since 1999. I've been a speaker at the APP's annual educational conference since 2007. In 2008 I became a member of the Conference Committee that organized and coordinated the annual conference at that time. In 2010 I was given the Josh A. Prentice award for volunteer service to the organization. Then in June, 2011, I became the APP's Vice President, an elected position with a three year term.

  I'm a member of multiple committees that work to establish body art safety recommendations and policies. These committees are for the following organizations: Association of Food and Drug Officials, National Environmental Health Association, and the Body Art Education Alliance. For the Association of Professional Piercers I'm a members of the Legislation and Regulatory Affairs Committee that responds to, and consults with, agencies reviewing and developing their regulations regarding body piercing. I'm also a member of the APP's Curriculum Committee which develops educational programs for the association. Show less
