While he was at Onkyo, John and I collaborated in producing a range of marketing communications materials, including BTL, new product releases, product packaging, digital platforms, and other POS/POP collateral. John showed an ability to articulate brand equity throughout a product portfolio, while maintaining a clear understanding of how to position each product accordingly. He was able to conceptualize at a strategic level and translate brand strategy into integrated marketing communication plans. Whether concerning the tone or content of a marketing message, John showed a keen awareness of the importance of consistency and the expression of brand attributes. Electronics products such as those produced by Onkyo incorporate a range of new and complex technologies. John displayed adeptness at explaining these technologies in terms of their user benefits, so that consumers and industry insiders alike could understand them readily. I found John to be attentive to detail and capable of thinking and working independently. As well as being able to express his opinions clearly, he was considerate of others and worked well as part of a team. At all times, John maintained a professional and respectful attitude toward those who worked with him. I have no hesitation in recommending John for positions in the fields of marketing strategy and marketing communications.
