Student Assistant
-
Apr 2015 - Jun 2016
This position was held at a local art museum - the Kentucky Folk Art Center. While working as a Student Assistant at the Kentucky Folk Art Center, I helped to organize public events and galleries in which art from local Kentucky artists would be displayed for all to see. My daily duties included: greeting customers, informing customers on the tradition of folk art, giving tours of the museum, handling cash, and selling and wrapping delicate artwork. On many occasions I would be the only employee present at special, after-hours events requiring me to open and close the museum by myself. Show less

The project for this internship was to adapt the existing Mission Planning and Sequencing (MPS) Editor software such that Jet Propulsion Laboratory (JPL) assistance would not be necessary for outside organizations to utilize it. This adaptation will be released to JPL affiliated universities and research facilities. In order to complete this project it was necessary to create user guides/tutorials and to also provide Python and helper scripts capable of manipulating certain aspects of MPS Editor. Show less
