  In a consulting capacity I assisted the University of the Free State by liaising with various supporting and academic departments to report on the sustainability of the universities research activities and allocation of internal funds to develop research capacity and excellence. I was involved in a number of technology transfer projects in a business planning, project management and advisory capacity, including the development and implementation of the UFS IdeaStart Accelerator, a seed stage student business incubator. Other projects that I was involved with included seed fund management, the establishment of the newly-branded Kovsie Gear campus store, implementation of the RIMS system and the feasibility study of the Free State Regional Science Park.
