Johnathan Burgess' sense of creativity and design is only surpassed by his relentless dedication to succeed at the tasks he undertakes. I have had the pleasure of working with Johnathan on several projects and he has always gone above and beyond the required diligence and positively motivates those around him as he does so.

I started at Showcase Marketing as the lead front-end developer, but the job quickly expanded into more of a full-stack developer role within the first couple of months. Initially, we were developing sites with PHP and ASP for different platforms, but eventually, we simmered down to just PHP with custom-built themes in Wordpress for our CMS. Currently, I work as the Senior Developer at The Brand Leader, which is the company that Showcase Marketing turned into after rebranding. As an Interactive Designer and Front-End Developer for Torque Creative, I worked on a broad range of projects for many well-known brands. Most of my work was focused around website concepts, front-end development, e-blast layouts, analytics campaigns, SEO maintenance and creative strategy for product websites. I worked at Locke Design as the Senior Graphic Designer where I designed site layouts. I also coded and managed all of the web development projects while at Locke Design. Maintaining client sites also included keeping up with analytics reports and SEO for all client websites. I worked at Locke Design as the Senior Graphic Designer where I designed site layouts. I did a lot of a design and development work with extensive flash and AS3.0 business portfolio sites and product line microsites for a few years while freelancing. Eventually, I moved towards building sites in jQuery and AJAX, and I utilized Wordpress as a backend CMS once custom post-types came out, which blurred the constrast between a blog framework and a typical CMS into a multi-functional resource. While I still use php in some projects in and out of my current job, I work alongside other developers that have peaked my interest in ruby. So, the drive to keep up-to-date with online technologies and improve the user experience maintains my interest in this type of design work.
