In my never humble opinion, John Wetzel is the #1 expert in marketing in the organic chemical industry in the US and Europe. John integrates unmatched knowledge of the organic chemical industry with high technical expertise in organic chemistry, outstanding interpersoanl skils and appropriately assertive positive energy to create opportunities for customers AND suppliers. I have known John since 1996 when we worked together on a phase-transfer catalysis development project for a commercial agricultural chemical. John has more valuable contacts than anyone else I know at large, medium and small organic chemical customers and manufacturers all over the US and Europe (maybe Asia as well, though I don;t have direct knowledge of the latter). John has been a consistent and highly active contributor at Informex and a variety of other tradeshows and organic chemical professional tradeshows and venues (trade journals) for at least the 16 years during which I have worked with John. If you work with John Wetzel on one project, you will quickly come to understand the truth behind this totally unsolicited recommendation (which will come a s a surprise to John). In summary, if you have an opportunity or are looking for an opportunity that requires knowledge of the organic chemical markets and/or the key players in agrochemicals, pharmaceuticals and MANY segments of the organic chemical industry, YOUR performance will increase if you contact John Wetzel and he is available to leverage his skills, knowledge and contacts. John Wetzel is the first person I contact when my company can benefit and in 16 years, I have never missed an opportunity to meet with John and Informex, Chemspec and other tradeshows, even if only to take the pulse of the industry.
