  Third assistant engineer on a 540 ft heavy lift ship powered by a 13,380 hp diesel engine. In charge of supply, purification, and maintenance of lubrication for the main engine as well as four caterpillar diesel engines. Also in charge of maintenance on several auxiliary machines including: purifiers, transfer pumps, supply pumps, plumbing system, electrical systems, air conditioning, water maker and sterilizer, heat exchangers, coolers, and cooling pumps.
