Meeting John was a defining moment in my professional and personal career. It has been inspiring to watch John manages his team of talented people. His insight, dedication and integrity are second to none. He is a rare kind of visionary who can do it all – he can define a long-term strategy and then break it down to the day-to-day. I meet many outstanding people in my profession, yet I seldom come across someone who is so approachable and as down to earth as John. John exhibits strong interpersonal skills and a unique capacity for empathy. These qualities most notably translate in his ability to motivate a team to care about its project and be invested in the project’s success. John is the go-to person for conflict resolution and problem solving; when fights break out in boardroom meetings, he steps in to diffuse tension and induce compromising. Though he’s never one to draw attention to himself, John’s positive attitude and the respect others feel toward him are palpable. It has been a privilege and a pleasure to work with him. I look forward to working with him in the future.

ADMINISTRATION:• HWCD’s Design Board member• Business development.DESIGN:• Project’s responsible.• Team’s building protocols.• Implementation of international design methodologiesINTERNATIONAL EXPANSION:• Global strategies and business models / business plans.• Opening company’s branches overseas • Companies global expansion model• Results: - Barcelona Office (2010). By Join Venture with GBM (Martin Oliu, Carles Basso, Enric Llucia) - London Office (2011). Funded by John Villar. - Cairo Office (2012). By Join Venture with ICCE (Ayman Khafagy)*Ironically, the HWCD's expansion overseas increased the local reputation of the headquarter and therefore the scale and budget of the Chinese projects. This situation made the Board Directors of HWCD to decide to put all our resources into the Chinese's team in order to achieve the finniest result. Thus settled Barcelona, London and Cairo in a secondary level of priority, that finally started to scaled down the overseas teams and concentrate all the effort in the projects that the Board Director's prioritized*
