Led the Church's Educational and Social Justice ministries. • Served as one of the Church’s four senior level pastors, as well as, one of the seven members of the Church’s senior management. This leadership group oversaw the implementation of the Church’s administrative, pastoral, programmatic, operational, financial and organizational priorities including the management of a $8 million plus operating and capital budget • Managed the development and implementation of priorities and strategies for two of the Church’s seven departments – Education and Social Justice. This involved extensive evaluation, strategic planning, implementation and oversight of over 20 different initiatives including; children and families, youth, adult education, LGBT fellowship, prison ministry, a partnership with the South African Council of Churches focused on the development of a trauma counseling center in a township, faith-based community organizing, health care, economic development, visiting detained immigrants and grantmaking to local, national and international groups. • Managed the annual budget for both departments • Oversaw 50 full-time and part-time staff with over 200 volunteers. Directly supervised nine staff. • Restructured the Social Services Ministry, South Africa Initiative, Adult Education Ministry, Men’s Fellowship and Mission and Social Justice Commission so as to increase their impact with clearer foci and improved organization of resources Show less
