- Responsible for the training and development of new recruit officers and pre-certified department hires- Act as the direct supervisor and mentor to the recruit officer throughout the Field Training Process- Responsible for the daily and weekly evaluations of the recruit officer throughout the Field Training Process and determine if the recruit officer is qualified to begin solo patrol with Field Training Coordinator- Ensure compliance of recruit officers with county and department policies, laws of Virginia, and DCJS standards- Responsible for daily patrol operations when not actively training a recruit officer or new hires.
