My role primarily consisted of analyzing tax documents and payroll reports on Salesforce to size loan amounts, as well as communicating with thousands of small business owners to shepherd them through the PPP process with individualized customer service. I was also frequently assigned to special projects where I handled loan disputes and recalculations, helped the Small Business Administration resolve errors, and reviewed suspected cases of fraud. I designed the group's graphics and slide decks, drafted posts on the group's Twitter, Facebook, and Instagram accounts, helped set up meetings with elected officials, and assisted with the setup of other pro-Biden campus organizing groups around the country. I also created the designs for custom merchandise and 10,000+ pieces of literature for distribution to members, local media, and the public. My digital organizing strategy grew Students for Biden at Michigan tenfold to make it one of the largest chapters in the country, with nearly 400 student volunteers registering, persuading, and turning out thousands of voters to support Joe Biden in the March 10th Michigan primary and the November 3rd presidential election. Our group made over 100,000 voter contacts and personally distributed thousands of signs and flyers. Results indicate our group played a role in boosting UMich campus turnout by 6,228 votes and expanding the Democratic presidential vote margin in Washtenaw County from 78,000 to 101,000, contributing to Joe Biden's statewide victory.
