I had the pleasure of working with John Slanker nearly 2 years. During that time I got to know him very well. John supported apartment development projects working as a Construction Coordinator for the entire San Diego region. The Construction Coordinator position takes attention to detail and with a heavy workload, John had to constantly adapt, prioritize and acquire new skills to meet the challenge. John’s adaptability is exemplified by the many roles he served at The Irvine Company over the past 11 years. Before working with me John was already familiarizing himself with construction management as a Field Operations Manager running multiple Information Technology Fiber Infrastructure Upgrade projects. He was able to manage multiple complex projects and always had the capacity to jump help others out in their process as needed. John’s duties ranged greatly as he quickly adapted from supporting the construction processes, to managing construction projects and helping to actually drive the process. John is and well respected amongst her peers, is a great teammate, communicates very well and always has a positive attitude. These traits allow him the ability to navigate any project or task thrown at him with very high integrity.
