Contract Research and Development 2014-2015 Supervisor Open Net-Centric Interoperability Standards for Testing and Training (ONISTT) and Product Manager of Automated Reasoning programs, applying semantic technology to create decision tools for defense and commercial applications. Help launch a semantic technology spin-off in the financial services industry. 2009-2014 Directed education and training programs including several efforts involving the National Training and Education Resource (NTER), www.nterlearning.org, and applied semantic technologies. Won and managed the NTER program for SRI since its inception 2009, responsible for all aspects of technical development and program management, including the program’s associated products, the National Weatherization Training Platform (NWTP), Kuda, and NTER. NTER was recognized in four White House Announcements and recommended for use in Dept. of Labor workforce training grants. 2002-2010 Won and managed the Joint Training Experimentation Program (JTEP), a program of the National Guard Bureau and the California National Guard to integrate aspects of computer simulation, virtual, and augmented reality into live field training in the areas of combat operations, urban operations, and homeland defense operations. Received recognition from Congressional and Pentagon Senior Staff and various press coverage. JTEP developed the technology for a $60M/yr training services spin-off company. Previous experience in systems engineering, requirements analysis, and system specification. Served on various IEEE Standards Committees for the development of Distributed Interactive Simulation (DIS--IEEE 1278) and High Level Architecture (HLA) standards. Principal roles included chair of the DIS Live Interaction Subgroup, membership in the DIS Steering Committee, and membership in the Simulation Interoperability Standards Organization (SISO) Conference Committee, www.sisostds.org.
