I began as a junior accountant and was tasked with categorizing large sets of backlogged transaction data and reconciling past years of sloppy accounting for several issue ridden clients. As I gained proficiency I found myself being given more and more accounts. I managed to develop and master many techniques to improve the speed and accuracy of books being completed. I soon found my colleagues coming to me for advice on software and their accounting practices. Working closely with clients to address their accounting needs, I setup clients with a relevant account list for their business, help them get caught up to present time, and then assist clients to understand how to track money through their businesses. This in affect gave me the ability to manage more complex problems; I have helped over 20 clients gain insights and peace of mind on a variety of accounting or government tax related issues in a range of industries. I now specialize in helping clients coming from desperate backgrounds, with multiple years of accounting to complete, and on a tight budget as well as concurrently managing my recurring clientele.

Travelling with a team of 20 to various cities across Eastern Canada, we lead a cross country campaign to promote Presidents’ Choice products. I managed the setup, operations, and teardown of a large scale promotional events, by coordinating with team leaders to adapt to various challenges that arose, and insure the President’s Choice brand was always highly represented. Thanks to my fleet management and perpetual inventory control system, the team could provide directors with key performance measures that helped minimize future purchasing costs and allowed the continuous improvement of operations, while maintaining outstanding consumer image, and brand and products awareness.

As part of a student’s work program, I was hired to fulfill the influx in sales for Frito-Lay brand products during the summer months in the greater Barrie area. Orders made by sales representatives were my responsibility to deliver from the distribution warehouse to the stores. Upon arrival I would unload the product, assist the store receiver in inspecting the quality of the product, verify the contents of the order and reconcile with the receivers invoice, and provide receipt for the purchased product. This job also required responsible handling of a 36’ box truck at erratic and unusually early hours of the morning. I did provide management with the extra support they required, above and beyond what was originally tasked to me, to meet the higher sales level.
