John is a fantastically organised programme manager with an excellent ability to understand the needs of a business and plan and implement the technology changes required. His has the ability to generate respect quickly based on his in-depth knowledge and keen mind. I haven't worked with John in several years but I would happily work with him anytime the opportunity arises.

Life Pensions & Investments, Edinburgh, Halifax and Leeds Delivered 2 major programmes - a Point of Sale system for the Wealth Division and a migration, back in-house from Aviva, of a large book of investments. The latter involved a very large data migration, the building of a new trading platform, workflow for Customer Services and full development and testing lifecycles. Initially a Project Management link between Development and Technical Services on a 'commercial integration' project: brought about by the purchase and subsequent integration of a competitor (Infolink). The project involved the redevelopment and migration of the services and data from a Unisys mainframe to an IBM (MVS/CICS) mainframe. I was subsequently used on a number of other projects, including; Year 2000 - as part of the Y2K programme management team I had either sole or collective responsibility for setting the renovation strategies of the applications, system software, hardware and infrastructure used by Equifax; Y2K Technical Manager I selected and implemented a complete Testing Tool-Set for automated testing and configuration management for all platforms in use at Equifax (e.g. IBM mainframe, NT, UNIX Sun/IBM/Sequent). Having selected the tool-set I managed its implementation, recruited a test team and managed the Y2K testing of the Equifax product set. Show less
