This is achieved through communicating with municipalities to determine what programs are efficient, what barriers limit success, and connect municipalities with each other or programs they can benefit from. This is a volunteer position focused on advocating for climate resiliency, conservation, and many other related topics. The group forms letters to endorse or oppose legislation, testifies in public hearings, and anything else that could be done to benefit the environment. River Advocate

This is a volunteer position working with a team to improve the environment with a focus on the Charles River Watershed. The focus of the individual role is on changing local municipalities to embrace climate adaptation plans, reduce emissions, and improve or protect water quality. An advocate also forms personal relationships with representatives and their staff. On a larger scale the group and organization supports bills and acts that align with the Sierra clubs goals.
