Development and prototyping of low-cost, motorized prosthetic hand using a bio-interface control schema for use by BMVSS non-profit in Jaipur India. BMVSS is the largest distributor of lower limb prosthesis globally. Manufacturability and durable hardware are priorities of the project, with a distinct focus upon anthropomorphic hand design. The current design relies upon single-DOF, gear transmission, tripod grip hand to minimize low cycle life components and optimize pinch grip and lateral finger rigidity. Show less
