      Key Duties and ResponsibilitiesFollowing promotion, my portfolio of responsibilities as lead analyst for geostrategic cyber issues within the Cyber Threat Intelligence team (see below) was extended and my role broadened to also include consulting duties within the ‘Cyber Protect’ practice.       Whilst working at Janusian I was responsible for the daily maintenance of the company’s Terrorism Tracker programme, an interactive database of global terrorist activity constructed in partnership with Aon and utilised by corporate security teams and researchers internationally. This involved extensive qualitative and quantitative interrogation of open source information to enable the completion of written summaries of each reported terrorist incident, alongside more detailed accounts of major attacks and trends for a client newsletter. These tasks necessitated not only an in-depth understanding of specific terrorist groups, including their ideological underpinnings, stated targets and historical attack patterns, but also country specific and wider geopolitical developments. I was the first non-permanent member of staff to be allowed to write for Janusian’s monthly terrorism briefing, distributed directly to multi-national corporations, research institutes and governments across the world.
