Established in 1973, the Irish in Britain (www.irishinbritain.org) is the UK representative body for the Irish in Britain and is supported by both Irish and British governments. Working together with the 150 Irish cultural and community members the federation’s mission is to raise the profile & contribution of the Irish community and achieve a confident, healthy & empowered community participating fully in a multi-cultural Britain. The diversity of the membership is essential to this – covering activity in arts and culture, sport, Irish centres and welfare agencies. Show less
