I have managed both on and off-shore fluid operations on multiple platforms and mobile rigs during drilling, completion, intervention and abandonment phases. Worked closely with operational supervisors and technical experts (fluid supervisors, geologists etc.) during both the planning and implementation stages offshore by highlighting all fluid impacts on operations and provide guidelines and solutions towards delivering the program targets. With fluid properties impacting a vital role during all well operations, I provide technical predictions and solutions. A solid understanding of formation effects (pore pressures (depleted zones), fracture gradients, formation communication (Cuttings Re-Injection)), along with data from down-hole tools (e.g. PWD, LWD) and software simulation packages (DFG) allows me to react to fluid property changes (fluid densities, rheology’s, chemistry and volumes) and surface indicators (ROP’s, torque and drag, SPP, cutting type and volumes) in order to provide drilling parameter optimisation (pipe rotation speed, WOB and controlled ROP’s) and resolve incidents of down hole losses and improve hole cleaning.

Played an active roll in advising colleagues how drilling fluid properties will affect drilling parameters.Supervised and instructed Derrickmen and Roughnecks in the safe mixing of chemicals to maintain and build drilling fluid.Showed ability to work and learn in new environments and understand new procedures.Improved good and important communication skills between all levels of personnel during varies and critical drilling procedures.Demonstrated ability to form informal and friendly relationships with people to create a more relaxed working environment.Prepared daily reports relating to drilling hydraulics, drilling fluid properties plus stock inventory and expenses.Nominated for ‘Most Valuable Player’ (MVP) award for successfully supervising an advanced water based mud system.
