Partnering with Japanese Rengo denomination for effective church multiplication and leadership development. Served on the mission Executive Committee nearly the entire time. Served as Field Coordinator 2003-2011, 2014-15.

1) Worked in high-rise housing project (Hikarigaoka) establishing a daughter church with a team. Ministry included Bible studies, outreach events, worship services and children's ministries. 2) Worked in a suburban community (Niiza City) by conducting community outreach, bridge ministries (English, women's,etc).worship services, and outreach events. 3) Assisting churches in developing their outreach programs, leadership development, small groups, worship events.4) Coaching church planters and pastors. 5) Leadership development of lay people for evangelism, outreach, small group leadership, lay preaching, etc. Show less

Coordinated dozens of teams coming from North American with work and ministry in Japan totaling over 250 volunteers and three team coordinators. Developed partnerships with Japanese organizations. Managed logistics and leadership for these teams.

A 120 year old church in a transitional neighborhood. Preached and teached, led evangelism outreaches, coordinated community-wide children's ministry, discipled youth, managed a multi-staff, made opportunities for students with internships and field education, facilitated an ethnic (Hispanic) church plant in our facility, development cross-cultural programs for youth of non-urban churches to experience urban ministry, worked with the urban committee to develop a research project on churches in Chicago.Historically the Hispanic ministry grew and the Anglo congregation declined in numbers. at the end of the 90s the Anglo congregation disbanded and handed over the church property to the strong Hispanic church.. .
