• Load Organiser: In constant communication with the consignee of designated loads that were due to be transported and delivered by our trailers. Had to ensure that collection and delivery times were organised with both the consignee and consignor. Had to ensure that collection and delivery times were organised with both the consignee and consignor. Also maintained contact to ensure all parties were happy during transit. • Inventory: Tracked incoming and outgoing stock which was held on the customers behalf. • Quality Control: Helped assess the quality of the consignments that were transported by our hauliers. All damaged packages were pictured and recorded to determine where the damage occurred and who was liable. It was often found that the damage had occurred due to faults within the packaging used or the holds used to secure loads. • Invoicing: Also assisted our accountant with the monthly invoicing. I helped send out our end of month invoice and also follow up on payments that were due but had been missed. This was a very customer orientated role as we were in constant contact with them if payments were missed. • Operations: Working in the Operations Management department: I work with the operations manager and his team, learning about the AS400 system, KPI measurement scales, and the overall running of the business. • KPI: Evaluated key statistics to insure KPI’s were being met in regard to the load factor and the warehouse output.
