Lathrop’s immediate past position was Director, Corporate Learning, Institute for Executive and Professional Development, Daniels College of Business, University of Denver. Where he was responsible for the development of contracts and program engagements with corporations and government agencies focused on the improvement of leadership and management practice. While working at the Daniels College of Business, Lathrop was invited to be a Committee Member of the Denver Federal Executive Board’s Methamphetamine “Call to Action” Task Force. As a part of that Task Force, he worked with Northern Arapaho tribal leaders and federal executives to develop a “Prevention Through Intervention Healing Center” on the Wind River Reservation in Wyoming. While at Daniels, Lathrop develop a combined Native American Advisory Board to design and develop a Tribal Institute for Marketing Management related to the marketing of American Indian casinos in the West. Lathrop established Daniels’ contract relationships with the following corporations: Emirates Trading Agency/ASCON, Dubai, UAE, Epsilon Inc., Lockheed Martin, ECC Inc., Colorado Bureau of Investigation, DISH Network, First Data Corporation, OMI Inc., Allstate, Comcast Media Inc., Microsoft Corporation - Colorado, Cenveo Inc., Storage Technology Corporation, Time Warner Telecom, CH2M Hill, Gates Corporation, New Global Telecom, Excl Corporation, Colorado Learning Network, Marsh USA, McData Corporation, Level3 Communications, Boulder Scientific Inc., and the Sunbelt Athletic Conference. Prior to his work at Daniels, Lathrop's was Technical Director and Senior Consultant, ORI/Macro International Inc., an international consulting firm located in Calverton, Maryland (near Washington, D.C). There, he was one of five lead consultants working with the U.S. Special Trustee on the Reform of the American Indian Trust, Office of Trust Funds Management. Lathrop worked for more than a year interviewing tribal leaders in the West on what they wanted to see included in the American Indian Trust Reform legislation - findings were reported in testimony before the U.S. Senate, Indian Affairs Committee While working for ORI/Macro Lathrop provided consultation services to: U.S. Navy, U.S. Defense Mapping Agency, NASA, FAA, the National Security Agency (NSA); private sector clients including: Crop Genetics Corp., Travelers Insurance Company, US Airways, Tate Engineering Co., Pharmacy Direct Network, Commission on Laboratory Accreditation, and the Saudi Binladin Corporation (RKSA). Previously, he was associated with the University of Maryland University College, the worldwide continuing education campus of the Maryland University system. There he held various positions, including Director of Contracts and Special Programs, Center for Professional Development (CPD); Program Manager, Leadership Development; Program Manager, Contemporary Management Practices. He led teams that designed and conducted leadership and management training programs for the U.S. Department of Defense; Ministry of Defense and Aviation, Royal Kingdom of Saudi Arabia; Nissan Corporation; Comsite International Inc.; and C.
