  As Deputy Director of Planning I was responsible for a number of key University processes which provide strategic direction for the institution. My areas of responsibility include, but are not limited to:Provision of expert statistical and analytical support within the University and delivering high-level reports to senior University management as part of the University’s predictable annual cycle of strategic and executive processes. I provide strategic oversight and management of forecasting and modelling systems, including the University’s tuition fee forecast model, and student numbers models. I ensure that Business Intelligence proactively supports the University in planning and meeting its strategic and operational objectives by enabling timely evidence-based decision support. To do this I engage in strategic discussions with senior management and their staff, as to define business intelligence requirements and priorities, and recommend solutions to stakeholder requirements based on properly constructed business cases. I work closely with colleagues to advise on the development of metrics and performance indicators; and to ensure alignment between targets and forecasts and College plans and strategies.I manage the institutional level strategic risk register and provide quarterly updates to the institutional executive board and audit committee having liaised with all senior risk owners.
