I was elected to the position of Treasurer of the Charleston Chapter of Students Helping Honduras in August, 2020 in which I assisted in establishing and implementing an annual budget for the organization that was funded through the Student Government Association. I oversaw all finance-related operations of the organization. I was then elected as Vice President of the organization in August, 2021. This enabled me to spearhead multiple initiatives related to fundraising, awareness, and bonding activities. We have raised hundreds of dollars through carefully constructed fundraising events to fund the construction of educational infrastructure in Honduras.

Assisted HALO by meeting with congressional offices to advocate for demining/landmine clearance operations across the globe, promoting the partnership between HALO and the U.S. Military in researching and developing innovative new technologies to aid in demining. I also researched and obtained points of contact for many South Carolina leaders and former military personnel to increase HALO's outreach. I also focused on engagement with international non-profit organizations and humanitarian student organizations.

    • Chief Of Staff
      • Jul 2021 - Apr 2022

Following my election to Junior Senator in April, 2021, I was appointed to Chief of Staff after sending a letter of intent for the position of Deputy Chief of Staff. This enabled me to chair all Executive Council, Executive Board, and Presidential Advisory Board meetings to ensure efficiency and productivity in those meetings. I kept track of attendance across the entire student senate body and engaged consistently with a wide range of student organizations and College administration. I was also an ex-officio member of all legislative committees and would frequently sit in and supervise them. Regarding my own legislative accomplishments, I established and chaired two emergency ad-hoc committees: Bylaw Review Committee and the Housing Crisis Committee. The Bylaw Review Committee produced more than 16 bills alone, all passed, many of them authored and presented by myself or others that I had delegated the task to. The Housing Crisis Committee allowed me and a fellow Initiative Director to co-author a resolution expressing disapproval of the College of Charleston's decision to exclude upperclassmen from on-campus housing, it was easily the most controversial piece of legislation in the 2021-2022 term and it passed narrowly.
